Job summary

Airswift in Manchester seeks an experienced Fabric Data Engineer to build, operate and improve our enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric. You will implement ingestion, transformation and serving patterns across Lakehouse and Warehouse workloads.

Collaborating with Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI and Storm teams, you will deliver scalable data pipelines, governance and production support, ensuring secure, performant data products and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on data engineering experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable Azure data services.
• Practical experience with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines and notebooks.
• Strong SQL skills and practical experience with PySpark or Python transformations.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental loads, orchestration and error handling.
• Experience integrating cloud services, relational databases, APIs and file-based sources.
• Understanding of medallion architecture, dimensional modelling and data product design.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions using OneLake and medallion architecture across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
• Develop and maintain Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and Spark Notebooks.
• Design scalable transformations with SQL and PySpark, including partitioning and incremental processing.
• Translate business outcomes into technical backlog items and deliver data products.
