Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Fabric Engineer to join a multidisciplinary facilities team. The role focuses on building fabric, plumbing and general maintenance, delivering both planned and reactive works to ensure safe and compliant operation of the site.

The engineer will complete PPM tasks, respond to faults, and coordinate with supervisors and contractors to ensure timely close-out and high service standards. A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience working in a commercial, industrial or facilities management environment.
• Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and independent working abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across the site.
• Complete general maintenance and repair tasks on doors, locks, fittings and walls.
• Carry out basic plumbing duties including taps, toilets, sinks and minor leaks within competence.
• Support maintenance tasks and deliver works from initial identification through to completion.
• Provide information to support quotations for remedial and additional works.
