Job summary

Red Bull Technology in Milton Keynes is seeking a Structures Analyst to tackle advanced engineering challenges in motorsport, using analytical expertise to influence design, validation and optimisation of components for Formula One cars.

You'll work with diverse teams across Design, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, R&D Testing and the Race Team to deliver structural analyses, validate concepts with FEA and hand calculations, and push performance and safety limits.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural analysis within a high-performance engineering environment.
• Ability to use both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques.
• Broad knowledge of structural behaviour across composites, metals and plastics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural assessments and performance-driven analysis of components and assemblies, ensuring designs meet demanding Formula One requirements.
• Use a combination of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and classical engineering calculations to validate, optimise and refine innovative design concepts.
• Collaborate with Design, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, R&D Testing and the Race Team to influence engineering decisions from concept through to trackside performance.
• Investigate structural behaviour across materials, including composites, metals and plastics, to maximise performance while maintaining reliability and safety.
• Contribute to weight reduction, increased stiffness and enhanced durability for competitive advantage.
