Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains in Milton Keynes offers year-long placements within the Engineering Tools & Methods team. You will work in state-of-the-art facilities to support engineering and manufacturing, driving innovation for future Formula 1 power units.

You will develop tools for simulations, optimize FEA/CFD workflows, and collaborate with engineers to deliver accurate results and reports, with exposure to CI/CD practices and AI workflows.

Qualifications

• At least one year of undergraduate study in engineering, maths or physics.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and mathematical methods.
• Familiar with CAD, FEA, CFD software.
• Experience with Python, C++, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Develop pre- and post-processing software tools for simulation teams.
• Create workflows to ensure FEA and CFD simulations run efficiently.
• Collaborate with simulation engineers to deliver results and reports.
• Explore workflows for AI and improved physics models.
• Maintain a clean code base with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Gain exposure to the 2027 Formula 1 season and contribute to the future of Red Bull Powertrains.
