Job summary

Alpine Racing UK is seeking a Reliability Student Placement to support investigations into reliability challenges both at the factory and on track. You’ll perform data analysis, hands-on testing, and collaborate with engineers to identify improvements that boost car performance and reliability.

The role spans design and validation stages, with mentors guiding you through fault response on the track. You will gain exposure across Design, Manufacturing, Operations and Performance groups,

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Systems Engineering, and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year.
• Ability to communicate a good understanding of engineering fundamentals, mechanical systems and technical concepts.
• Analytical and detail-orientated mindset with an interest in problem solving, fault investigation, and data analysis.
• Experience working with technical information, through engineering software, data analysis tools, or practical engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Support fault investigations, root cause analysis activities, and corrective actions.
• Assist with reliability reporting and maintenance of component life tracking systems.
• Analyse reliability data to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with engineers across Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Performance groups to gather information and track progress on fault resolution.
• Support system and process improvement initiatives within the Reliability function.
• Participate in technical reviews, meetings, and discussions, gaining exposure to the lifecycle of car development.
• Collaborate with design, performance, manufacturing, and test teams to implement reliability improvements.
• Help ensure components meet reliability, performance, and regulatory requirements.
