Overall job description

The ideal candidate will have experience managing communications and PR programmes for high-profile brands or organisations within F1/motorsport.

They will be a central team member, multitasking across projects in a fast-paced environment, with excellent written and verbal skills.

This role involves high-quality content creation, event activation, media relations, and overseeing junior team members.

Candidate should be confident in writing press releases, developing press packs, and engaging with media contacts, preferably with established global media contacts in motorsport.

Creativity, interest in sports news and media trends, and experience in media analysis are essential.

Flexibility and a proactive attitude are required to contribute across all aspects of the programme and agency work.

Reporting to senior team members, the candidate will also manage workload for junior staff.

Key requirements:

  • Project & process management: managing daily account activities to ensure timely delivery within budget and objectives.
  • Proven expertise: experience in delivering high-profile motorsport communications & press office programmes.
  • Passion for sport: strong interest in motorsport and the business of sport.
  • Sponsorship activation: skills in media management, crisis communications, press kit creation, social activations.
  • Agency leadership: experience managing agency teams.
  • Presentation skills: creating and delivering professional presentations.
  • Client management: providing counsel, troubleshooting, influencing stakeholders.
  • Media relations and management: engaging media, managing media lists.
  • Talent & Influencers: working with high-profile talent and sourcing influencers.
  • Event delivery: organizing global events like press launches and driver days.
  • Relationship building: developing trusted relationships with team, clients, media, stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making: using measurement to inform strategies.
  • Campaign management: developing long-term global campaigns across media platforms.
  • Content & brand management: understanding brand guidelines, content production experience.
  • Technical skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms.
  • Budget management: overseeing project budgets.
  • Continuous improvement: growth mindset, learning new skills.
  • Multitasking & adaptability: managing multiple projects under deadlines.
  • Creative leadership: leading creative sessions, client responses, reporting.
  • Organization & time management: efficient in managing time and tasks.
  • Composure under pressure: maintaining calm and solutions-focused approach.
  • Clear communication: confident in interactions at all levels.
  • Additional language skills: beneficial but not mandatory.
