Formula 1 in Biggin Hill is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technical Author to join the Mechanical Engineering & Design team. Reporting into our Head of Mechanical Engineering & Design, this role will support the Mechanical Engineering team deliver technical documents, reporting and governance activities.

We are looking for a professional who can develop, author and maintain high-quality mechanical engineering technical documentation, collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams,

Formación

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with revision control and governance processes is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, author and maintain high-quality mechanical engineering technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and cross-functional teams to gather and translate technical data.
• Manage document control, version history and approval workflows.
• Prepare documentation packs and status reports for design reviews and audits.
• Update legacy documents reflecting engineering changes and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and supply chain for build and inspection support.
• Maintain document registers and trackers across multiple workstreams.
• Ensure documentation is produced to a high professional standard and deadlines are met.
