Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains offers a 12-month Manufacturing Scheduling Placement, enabling you to contribute to on-track success by turning designs into precision components in a fast-paced environment. You’ll gain exposure to supply chain management, production control, and reporting within SAP, helping keep programmes on track.

The role covers production scheduling, material availability, subcontractor coordination, and data management using Excel.

Qualifications

• Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivery.
• A personable approach, able to build effective working relationships across teams.
• Resilience and adaptability to maintain productivity when under pressure.
• Comfortable with basic Excel skills; SAP experience desirable.
• Interest in production control, scheduling, and supply chain management.
• You'll be on track to achieve a 2.1 degree or above in a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Production Control & Scheduling – Managing production orders, prioritising workloads, and ensuring alignment between demand and shop floor capacity.
• Supply Chain Management – Coordinating material availability, monitoring lead times, and managing subcontractor relationships to support business requirements.
• Reporting & Data Management – Using Excel skills to schedule, track progress, and provide accurate updates to stakeholders, whilst maintaining accurate inventory levels in our ERP system (SAP).
• Business Integration – Working with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Programme Management, and Procurement to ensure smooth workflow across functions.
