Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer for a 2-year fixed-term contract on the Race Engineering and Infrastructure team. The role focuses on developing power systems and electrical infrastructure to support global race operations.

You will design from concepts through to manufacture, testing and deployment, collaborating with engineers, operations, suppliers and manufacturing partners to deliver compliant, reliable live-event solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience producing electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of LV power distribution systems and electrical engineering principles.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into manufacturable electrical designs.
• Experience supporting projects through design, review and delivery stages.
• Desirable knowledge of temporary power distribution systems and switchgear design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop temporary power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure and bespoke power solutions.
• Transform operational requirements into practical, manufacturable electrical designs with documentation.
• Produce electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring schedules and technical docs.
• Develop custom switchgear assemblies, UPS-backed systems and payload containerised power solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Operations teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
