Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Composite Trimmer / Fitter Technician to take carbon fiber parts from moulding to race-ready, trimming, fitting and bonding to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre. This role requires precision, teamwork and adherence to engineering drawings.

This weekend-shift position (Fri–Sun, 06:30–18:30) offers exposure to high-precision motorsport manufacturing and close collaboration with multiple departments to optimise component quality and workflow on the grid.

Qualifications

• Experience trimming and assembling composites to drawings.
• Precise dimensional control to tolerances.
• Understanding adhesive specifications and bonding.
• Knowledge of surface preparation for bonding.
• Experience with composite repair techniques.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Quality-focused and able to manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Trim composite material to exact dimensions from engineering drawings.
• Fit composite components for bonded assemblies.
• Bond and assemble components following procedures.
• Perform composite repairs as required.
• Self-inspect finished parts for conformance.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve quality.
• Maintain clean, organized 5S/LEAN workspace.
• Follow data capture and regulatory processes.
