Job summary

Red Bull Technology in Milton Keynes offers an industrial placement in its Composite Design Department for an undergraduate student. The placement runs for one year starting summer 2027, with exposure to the design, manufacture and operation of composite components for our F1 car.

You will work on design concepts, tooling, assemblies, and documentation, while developing skills in materials, laminate design and analysis, and presenting ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• Be studying toward a mechanical/aeronautical engineering degree (or similar).
• Be returning to higher education to study for at least 1 year after placement.
• Be computer literate with an organised, methodical approach.
• Show enthusiasm for Composite Design and hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cover all aspects of Composite Design from concept to detail drawings.
• Assist in material selection, laminate design, and structural sign-off.
• Prepare supporting documentation and reporting.
• Present ideas and design work to the team.
• Support in R&D activities and adapt to changing priorities.
