Job summary

A long standing partner in Romsey is seeking a Refrigeration Test Engineer (F-Gas) to join their engineering team. The role focuses on functional testing, inspection and preparation of refrigeration and chiller equipment prior to hire, with responsibilities including testing circuits, safety checks and precise recording of results.

The successful candidate will hold F-Gas certification, have experience in refrigeration or testing, and be able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• F-Gas certification – essential.
• Experience in a refrigeration or testing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Able to lift and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Test refrigeration circuits and identify abnormal operating conditions.
• Carry out full functional testing of hire chillers.
• Perform electrical safety checks and visual inspections.
• Record test results, faults, repairs and outstanding issues accurately.
• Prioritise workload effectively to maximise productivity within the test bay.
• Escalate major faults to Warehouse Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and support to warehouse staff and other engineers.
• Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards before release for hire.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
