Job description

We are most famous for our award-winning event, buried deep in the Crown Estate near Ascot. 17 years ago, Mike & Alison Battle created the event out of their own desire to take their children somewhere that would celebrate the pure, commercially unsullied, magic of Christmas. Now, with the help of Hollywood set-designers, West-End actors and more than a sprinkling of magic, the event is keeping the magic of Christmas alive for thousands of children every year.

LaplandUK celebrates and honours the values, imagination and wonderment of childhood through our magical world, rich storytelling and immersive memory making experiences.

This is an exciting period of growth for us, as we look for new ways to bring the Lapland experience to a global audience through media, publishing, live shows and eCommerce channels.

Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operation of F&B outlets by supervising staff and ensuring a seamless, positive guest experience. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring outlets are fully staffed, stocked, and that teams are well briefed and trained.

Combining strong customer service leadership with allergen and intolerance knowledge, the Supervisor maintains high outlet standards, oversees presentation, coordinates team activities, drives guest satisfaction, and upholds company policies to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
Event Operations

  • Ensure all F&B outlets are properly set up at the start of the day and closed to standard at the end of operations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised environment in line with health and safety.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of food allergens, ensuring accurate communication to guests and full team compliance with procedures.
  • Confidently respond to guest queries regarding food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, allergens, and product details.
  • Ensure F&B outlets are well‑presented and always aligned with brand standards.
  • Maintain high standards across dining areas, counters, service points and F&B outlets.
  • Oversee signage, pricing, menus, and promotional displays.
  • Lead opening and closing procedures across all commercial outlets.
Guest Experience
  • Ensure guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded through warm, welcoming, and professional service.
  • Deliver service in line with LaplandUK operating procedures and the agreed sequence of service, acting as a role model for the team.
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns and escalation issues appropriately when required.
People & HR
  • Train and coach team members to ensure service, quality, and brand standards are consistently achieved.
  • Support the Commercial Duty Manager in motivating the FOH team and maintaining high morale throughout the event period.
  • Lead by example, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a positive working culture.
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and controlled.
  • Work closely with the Duty Manager to minimise stock wastage and ensure any losses are properly investigated and accounted for.
Compliance
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and brand standards are fully understood and adhered to by the team.
  • Support compliance with food safety, health and safety, and licensing at all times.
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality or the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a fast‑paced F&B environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Confident in managing guest complaints and resolving issues effectively.
  • Experience training, coaching, and supporting team members.

  • Food Hygiene Level 2 and strong allergen/intolerance awareness.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Confident using technology and staffing systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable to operational needs.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on maintaining team morale.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
