Job summary

Dominus seeks a Food & Beverage Assistant at The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton, in the heart of London. You will welcome guests, guide them through our offerings and ensure service excellence across restaurant, bar and coffee house.

Qualifications

The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton joins an existing portfolio of award-winning hotels owned by Dominus and managed by Dominus Hospitality. Opened in April 2026 the hotel joined Hilton’s prestigious Curio Collection in the UK, a global set of remarkable upper upscale hotels handpicked for their unique character and personality - each one a part of the fabric of the city it calls home.

About The Role

As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences across our restaurant, bar and coffee house. You will welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, confidently guide them through our food and beverage offering, and ensure every interaction reflects the personality and standards of Curio Collection by Hilton and The Derby.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, engaging and personalised service throughout the guest journey, from welcome to farewell.
• Manage your section effectively during service, ensuring accurate order taking and timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Build strong product knowledge to confidently recommend menu items, promote seasonal offers, and maximise guest satisfaction.
• Support colleagues across all F&B outlets as required, contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organisation and presentation standards across all working areas.
• Handle payments accurately in line with hotel procedures and maintain accountability for cash and billing processes.
• Proactively upsell menu items, beverages and experiences to support departmental revenue targets.
• Follow all brand, licensing, health & safety and food safety standards at all times.

About You

• Previous experience of at least one year in a breakfast service role within a restaurant, café, or hotel environment is preferred.
• Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Confident communicator with a warm, professional and engaging personality.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A strong team player with a proactive, positive attitude.
• Able to work on different shifts. Please note that this role is on a casual basis.
• Must have valid right to work in the UK, please note that the company does not currently hold a sponsorship licence, therefore sponsorship assistance is not available.
