Job summary

The Winchester Hotel & Spa in Winchester, England, is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Truly Talented team. You will support the food and beverage leadership in delivering exceptional guest experiences, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring smooth service across outlets.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £26,436.80 per annum, 28 days holiday, staff discounts, and opportunities for training and progression in a growing hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Passion for the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests.
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times.
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets.
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection.
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.
