Job summary

Best Practice Network is seeking a Tutor to deliver high-quality curriculum sessions and provide pastoral support to student teachers. You will mentor, conduct triad meetings and ensure robust assessment and QA processes across placements.

You will work in a hybrid model with regional travel to centres and placement schools, contributing to recruitment and maintaining high standards of record-keeping and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS and experience in teaching / mentoring.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to provide high-quality student teacher support.
• Experience with assessment or programme delivery.
• Experience across multiple phases or SEND.
• Familiarity with Mosaic or equivalent platforms.
• QA or professional development training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver centre-based and school-based training sessions aligned to curriculum intent.
• Hold a caseload of student teachers (up to 20) and provide ongoing academic and pastoral support.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and maintain accurate records.
• Support student teachers and mentors to understand assessment expectations and curriculum requirements.
• Carry out lesson observations and provide high-quality developmental feedback.
• Maintain accurate Mosaic records and ensure documentation meets compliance expectations.
• Recruitment and applicant engagement to support high-quality programmes.
