Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Duties to join a welcoming primary school in Liverpool, Merseyside. The role focuses on supporting inclusive learning and fostering a nurturing atmosphere throughout the school day.

You will work with pupils, staff and parents to promote positive behaviour, well-being and strong relationships, including supervising lunchtimes and providing support as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Child-centred approach with patience and enthusiasm for supporting young learners.
• Effective communication with pupils, staff and parents.
• Ability to work well in a team and show initiative.
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil well-being.
• Mandatory enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality, inclusive learning across the curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to overcome barriers to learning.
• Promote positive behaviour, well-being and strong relationships with pupils.
• Supervise and support pupils during lunchtimes, encouraging safe play and social interaction.
• Contribute to a calm, caring, and nurturing environment throughout the day.
• Assist with HLTA duties if discussed at interview.

We are seeking a dedicated and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Duties to join a welcoming primary school in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This role offers the opportunity to support inclusive learning and contribute to a positive school environment within a friendly community setting. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, staff, and parents to foster a nurturing atmosphere throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, inclusive learning across the curriculum
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to help overcome barriers to learning
• Promoting positive behaviour, well-being, and strong relationships with pupils
• Supervising and supporting pupils during lunchtimes, encouraging safe play and social interaction
• Contributing to a calm, caring, and nurturing school environment throughout the day
• Assisting with additional responsibilities, such as HLTA duties, if interested and discussed at interview

Requirements & Qualifications

• A child-centred approach, with patience and enthusiasm for supporting young learners
• Effective communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents
• Ability to work well as part of a team and show initiative
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil well-being
• Experience in EYFS is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
