Job summary

The William Amory Primary School & Nursery in Blythe Bridge invites applications for a Permanent Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The role is 32.5 hours per week over 5 days, 8:40 am to 3:40 pm, term time only plus 5 INSET days, and is an FTE post.

You will deliver phonics sessions in EYFS/KS1, support learning across the school to Year 6, and assist with targeted interventions; lunchtime duties are included.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or above qualification, suitable for EYFS.
• Have recent and relevant experiences within a primary school setting particularly EYFS.
• Be able to work effectively, flexibly and supportively as part of a team.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and in our school.
• Have high expectations of their conduct and act as a role model, leading by example.
• Be prepared to participate in all aspects of school life.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily phonics sessions in EYFS/Key Stage One.
• Support children with learning across the school up to Year 6.
• Support the running of targeted interventions.
• Cover lunchtime duties in the hall and on the playground.
