Job summary

Crumpsall Lane Primary School in Manchester seeks a caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our federation of two large primary schools.

You will support high-quality early years learning, work with a talented team, and help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The post is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week, term-time plus inset days) with DBS and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Key group in EYFS (Reception or Nursery).
• Understanding of the Early Years Framework.
• Strong communication and language development abilities.
• Excellent behaviour management.
• High expectations of children's achievement.
• Demonstrate initiative when setting up and enhancing learning environments.
• Reliable and enthusiastic team player.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality Early Years curriculum.
• Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Engage children in purposeful play indoors and outdoors.
• Support the development of children's communication and language skills.
• Promote children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Observe children's learning and contribute to assessments.
• Encourage children's curiosity, creativity and exploration.
• Help maintain an engaging, stimulating learning environment.
• Support children with additional needs.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Follow school safeguarding, health and safety policies.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
