Job summary

Beighton Nursery Infant School invites an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years practitioner to join our EYFS team. The role spans our school-based nursery provision, working with children aged 2–4 years, and will commence as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching, support children’s progress, and work collaboratively with staff to implement learning and behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

• Be an excellent Early Years practitioner with strong desire to provide learners with best learning opportunities.
• Experience in learning/behaviour strategies e.g. SEN, Autism, Team Teach, Positive Handling.
• Paediatric first aid trained and/or willing to carry out First Aid and Administration of Medicines (training provided).
• Commitment to high quality, creative teaching and learning.
• Highly motivated and enjoy working with children.
• Able to support progress and success of the children.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills; NVQ3 for teaching assistants or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use initiative when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Be an enthusiastic member of the EYFS team across our school-based nursery provision (ages 2–4).
• Contribute to high quality teaching and learning activities.
• Support children’s progress and well-being on a daily basis.
• Implement learning and behaviour strategies in collaboration with staff.
• Assist with first aid and medicines administration as trained/required.
• Maintain strong literacy and numeracy support for early years learners.
• Work with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive environment.
