Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract in Greenford (UB6 9TT). The role requires EYFS experience and the ability to support pupils with SEND, while working as part of a supportive team. NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/Education is essential; strong English and numeracy are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience of working in EYFS within a primary school setting in the last 3 years (essential).
• Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with SEND (essential).
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Child Care/Education (essential).
• Ability to work positively as part of a team.
• Ability to relate well to children and adults.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills – to be tested at interview.
• Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils' progress – tested at interview.
• Able to use basic ICT including computer, audio, video equipment and photocopier.
• Good keyboard skills and knowledge of relevant ICT packages.
• Understanding how to extend children's learning through open-ended questions (essential).
• Knowledge of relevant policies and safeguarding legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in EYFS and primary settings under guidance.
• Deliver interventions and assist SEND pupils as needed.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children.
