Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Heswall. You will be supporting with Phonics and early reading, early maths activities, communication and language development, learning through play, classroom routines, personal care where required and developing children's confidence and independence.

This is a long-term role initially running until February 2027, with the possibility of continuing beyond this

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in EYFS, Nursery or Reception.
• Ability to contribute to phonics, early reading and maths activities.
• Comfort with personal care where required.

Job description

Location: Heswall, Wirral
Start Date: Monday 21st September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term until February 2027, with potential to extend
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm
Pay: 92. per dayv (depending on qualifications & experience)

The school is looking for someone who can support children within the Early Years classroom and help create a stimulating environment where children feel confident, happy and ready to learn.

You will be supporting with:

• Phonics and early reading
• Early maths activities
• Communication and language development
• Learning through play
• Classroom routines
• Personal care where required
• Developing children's confidence and independence

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within EYFS, Nursery or Reception.

This is a long-term role initially running until February 2027, with the possibility of continuing beyond this date for the right candidate.
