Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a warm, enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Heswall. You will support children in the Early Years classroom, helping to create a stimulating environment where they feel confident, happy and ready to learn.

The role is long-term until February 2027 with potential to extend, Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm. Pay ranges from £92.56 to £100 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS, Nursery or Reception preferred.
• Ability to support phonics and early reading.
• Warm, enthusiastic and nurturing approach.
• Long-term commitment with extension potential.

The school is looking for someone who can support children within the Early Years classroom and help create a stimulating environment where children feel confident, happy and ready to learn.

You will be supporting with:

• Phonics and early reading
• Early maths activities
• Communication and language development
• Learning through play
• Classroom routines
• Personal care where required
• Developing children's confidence and independence

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within EYFS, Nursery or Reception.

This is a long-term role initially running until February 2027, with the possibility of continuing beyond this date for the right candidate.
