About the role

EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

Gateshead, NE10

£440 – £460 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

September 2025 – July 2026

The School and Role

On behalf of this Primary School in Gateshead (NE10), Vision is seeking to appoint a EYFS Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis. The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant will be working across the EYFS unit at school to support both Reception and Nursery classes as required. The role will involve both general and 1:1 support with key children. This is a school where children are enabled to reach their full potential, and which creates an atmosphere of respect.

Requirements

The desired EYFS Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
