TeacherActive Limited. is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support in an East London primary school. The role involves helping children across EYFS, planning and leading activities to boost language, numeracy and social development, and ensuring safeguarding and welfare within a safe learning environment.

The position starts in September on a long-term basis in East Ham, with a focus on creative play, storytelling, and child-led learning while observing and safeguarding learners.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children within EYFS and primary settings.
• Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and learning goals.
• Ability to plan and lead engaging learning activities for young children.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead creative activities to support language, numeracy, and social development.
• Support children across EYFS in a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Carry out observations and contribute to safeguarding and welfare.
• Maintain a clean, safe nursery environment and support day-to-day routines.
