Job summary

Cheadle Hulme School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join from November 2026. You will support pupils' learning under the guidance of the class teacher, engaging in class-based activities, breaks, and school trips within a dynamic EYFS environment.

The role requires a good standard of maths and English, an EYFS Level 3 qualification, and experience with early literacy, phonics, and mathematics. A paediatric first aid qualification is optional and beneficial.

Qualifications

• A good standard of maths and English.
• A minimum Level 3 qualification recognised by the DfE as full and relevant for EYFS staff-to-child ratios.
• Experience of working with children in an EYFS setting.
• Good understanding of EYFS learning and development, including purposeful play and continuous provision.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and positive behaviour management.
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience supporting early literacy, phonics and mathematics.

• Under the guidance of the class teacher, contribute to and support pupils' learning through class-based activities, break time, school trips and other activities.
