About the role

Connex Education is supporting a mainstream primary school in Warrington in appointing an Early Years Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis to work with a child on a 1-1 basis. Experience working with SEN is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2/3 qualification with classroom experience and knowledge of delivering phonics. Strong Maths and English subject knowledge is essential, as you will support the pupil with daily education.

The school is located in Warrington and is a faith school. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support in a reception class. The school has supportive leadership and staff, aiming to ensure every child achieves their best through providing a positive learning environment.

Assignment details

This is a long-term assignment starting September 2025 and will continue as long as funding is available.

Person Specification

• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
• Maths and English GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children and young people within the relevant age range.
