Teaching Assistant Level 2 with SNA allowance

Role: Teaching Assistant- Working with SEN / EYFS
Location: Bolton
Contract: Monday to Friday
9am-12:15pm -16.25 hours per week
Salary: From £13.75 depending on experience (AWR will be addressed after 12 working weeks)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, with a Special Needs Allowance, to join the school's innovative and creative team. The Governors and Senior Leadership Team are seeking a patient, empathetic, and caring individual with experience and/or qualifications in the field of SEND. The school is a one-form entry primary that takes great pride in its inclusive ethos. The dedicated team consistently strives for high standards for all children, adapting the curriculum and provision to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer 1:1 support for a child with SEN and behavioural challenges.
• Apply personalised learning and behaviour management strategies.
• Work alongside the class teacher to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
• Help the child build social and emotional development skills.
• Establish a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil.

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant

A current, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Effective behaviour management abilities with a calm and patient demeanour.

A strong passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
