Milk Education is working with a primary school in Standish (WN6) seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in an EYFS setting. This role starts in September 2024 and is a temporary, long-term position.

The school is looking for someone who is caring, patient, nurturing, and accommodating to all children's needs. The working hours are 08:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This EYFS Teaching Assistant role involves supporting the class teacher in daily classroom setup and management, ensuring all children stay on task and learn to their full potential. Responsibilities include preparing resources and providing a patient, nurturing environment for every child.

Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
  • Assist in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments as needed
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables:

  • Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
  • Passion for education
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Reliability and punctuality
