Join Our Early Years Team
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping our youngest learners develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Working alongside our Early Years teachers, you will support children's learning, development, and wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- Build positive relationships with children, encouraging independence, confidence, and social development.
- Assist with planning, preparing, and organising learning resources and activities.
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, contributing to assessment where appropriate.
- Support children with personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and dressing, where required.
- Promote positive behaviour through encouragement, praise, and consistent expectations.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support children’s individual needs.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children in an EYFS or early years setting.
- Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable).
- Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework.
- Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills.
- Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
- Is committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
