Job summary

Milk Education is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.

This full-time role starts ASAP and involves supporting early development, day-to-day learning and SEN needs, with opportunities for progression and ongoing pastoral support.

Qualifications

• Experience working in EYFS or Early Years
• Patient, caring and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging EYFS activities
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Support children's communication, language, literacy and numeracy development
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social development
• Support children with SEN and additional learning needs
• Help manage behaviour using positive and nurturing strategies
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
• Support continuous provision and child-led learning
• Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

Role Overview

Milk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, supporting children with their early development and day-to-day learning.

Classroom & School Support

• Supportive and welcoming primary school environment
• Work alongside an experienced EYFS class teacher
• Opportunities to support children on both a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Collaborative EYFS team and supportive senior leadership
• Access to additional SEN support where required

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging EYFS activities
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Support children with their communication, language, literacy and numeracy development
