Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, supporting young children’s development and day-to-day learning.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help children with communication and early literacy/numeracy, and promote independence and positive social development.

Qualifications

• Experience working in EYFS or Early Years settings.
• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
• Patient, caring and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

Milk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, supporting children with their early development and day-to-day learning.

Classroom & School Support

• Supportive and welcoming primary school environment


• Work alongside an experienced EYFS class teacher


• Opportunities to support children on both a 1:1 and small-group basis


• Collaborative EYFS team and supportive senior leadership


• Access to additional SEN support where required

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging EYFS activities

• Help manage behaviour using positive and nurturing strategies

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working within EYFS or Early Years


• A genuine passion for supporting young children


• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable
