EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a school in Carlisle. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated individual with experience in schools or early years settings, particularly in supporting children with additional needs.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

1. Support the teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
2. Help children progress on their individual educational journeys and achieve key milestones.
3. Take a child-centred approach, providing personalized support to children with SEND.
4. Create a nurturing and secure environment where children can thrive.
5. Build strong relationships with staff and parents, ensuring effective communication about children’s daily activities and health needs.

3. Possess a relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification (highly desirable).

Position Details

Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all candidates we work with. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
