Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Primary School in Salford who is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in their Pre-School room. This Full-time role supports children under 3, with hours 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and a salary of 95 - 100 PAYE per day.

You will deliver EYFS activities, assist with routines, observe progress, and collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within the EYFS, particularly with children under 3.
• Passion for supporting children's early development and milestones.
• Strong communication with children, parents and colleagues.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work within a team.
• Thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and child development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the EYFS curriculum by delivering engaging activities.
• Creating a nurturing, welcoming and safe environment for under‑3s.
• Assisting with day-to-day routines, including meals and personal care.
• Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining records and providing feedback to parents.
• Collaborating with school staff to deliver a seamless learning experience.
• Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety protocols are followed.

About the Role

As a Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Pre-School room, you will play a vital role in the early development of young learners, helping to lay the foundation for their educational journey. Working full-time, Monday to Friday, you will provide exceptional care and support to children under 3, ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the EYFS curriculum by delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.


• Creating a nurturing, welcoming, and safe environment where children can build their confidence and independence.


• Assisting with day-to-day routines, including meal times, personal care, and outdoor activities.


• Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to parents and carers.


• Collaborating with the wider early years and school staff to deliver a seamless learning experience.


• Ensuring all safeguarding and health and safety protocols are followed at all times.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you will need:
