Job summary

Derbyshire County Council in the East Midlands invites applications for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to support EYFS children in our nursery and reception classes. You will work with a friendly team to deliver play-based learning, assist with personal hygiene and help children regulate their day.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 EYFS qualification, experience with SEND targets, and strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Has experience of working with EYFS children through a play based curriculum.
• Is patient, caring and enthusiastic with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Works well as part of a team and values collaboration.
• Has experience in working to a timetable to help children regulate themselves.
• Has experience of working with children with speech and language needs.
• Has experience following SEND/EHCP targets.
• Attending meetings with professionals and supporting parents.
• Is able to support children's personal hygiene.
• Has experience delivering an individualised learning programme with the class teacher.
• Has experience adapting planning to suit children's specific needs.
• Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Holds high expectations for pupils' achievement and behaviour.
• Hold a Level 3 EYFS qualification.

• has experience in adapting planning to suit the children's specific needs.
• has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• holds high expectations for pupils achievement and behaviour
• holds a level three qualification related to supporting children in EYFS.

Hours of Work:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 3.20pm

Tuesday 8.00am - 3.20pm
