Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the WS3 area for an experienced EYFS Teacher to join their team from November on a full-time maternity cover basis.

The role involves delivering high-quality EYFS lessons, creating a nurturing, inclusive environment, monitoring progress, and working closely with staff and parents to support every child.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent and substantial EYFS teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework.
• Engaging and inspiring learning opportunities.
• Nurturing, enthusiastic and child‑centred approach.
• Excellent classroom management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years curriculum.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence, and curiosity.
• Working collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner who is committed to creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children during the crucial early stages of their education.

The Role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years curriculum
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate:
