Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Teacher for roles across Retford and surrounding areas. You will work in Nursery or Reception settings, delivering engaging early years learning.

The ideal candidate has QTS, EYFS experience, strong classroom management and a nurturing approach, with DBS clearance and right to work in the UK. Various full-time and part-time layouts available to suit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Recent experience in EYFS, Nursery or Reception.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and suitable references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning in line with EYFS.
• Create a stimulating, inclusive learning environment.
• Support children's development across communication, language, literacy, mathematics and personal development.
• Use play-based and child-led learning to encourage curiosity and independence.
• Observe, assess and record progress.
• Support pupils with SEND and adapt activities to individual needs.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour and EYFS policies.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning in line with the EYFS framework
• Creating a stimulating, inclusive and welcoming learning environment
• Supporting children's development across communication, language, literacy, mathematics and personal development
• Using play-based and child-led learning to encourage curiosity and independence
• Observing, assessing and recording children's progress
• Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting activities to individual needs
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals
• Following school safeguarding, behaviour and early years policies

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Recent experience working within EYFS, Nursery or Reception
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
• Right to work in the UK
• Teachers undertaking short-term or long-term cover bookings are paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale from day one.
