Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Teacher for Shirebrook to work across primary schools and early years settings. The role includes Nursery and Reception classes, with both short-term and permanent opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or an equivalent UK qualification, recent EYFS experience, and a strong grasp of the EYFS framework. DBS clearance and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Recent experience working within EYFS, Nursery or Reception.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure and suitable professional references.
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning in line with the EYFS framework.
• Creating a stimulating, inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
• Supporting children's development across communication, language, literacy, mathematics and personal development.
• Using play-based and child-led learning to encourage curiosity and independence.
• Observing, assessing and recording children's progress.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting activities to individual needs.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals.
• Following school safeguarding, behaviour and early years policies.
