Randstad UK is recruiting EYFS SEN Teaching Assistants to support children aged 3–5 with SEND across Cambridge. You will work with EYFS teachers and SENCOs to create sensory-rich, play-based learning environments in day-to-day and long-term placements.

The role requires prior SEN experience in EYFS, Level 2/3 qualifications, and a warm, patient, resilient approach to support children with complex needs. DBS checks and safeguarding are essential.

Formación

• Previous experience supporting young children with SEN within an EYFS setting.
• Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early SEN strategies.
• Warm, energetic, and patient approach with resilience to support children with complex needs.
• Confidence to assist with personal care routines and DBS clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Play-based and sensory support to facilitate early learning and adapt activities to EHCP targets.
• Use early communication systems (PECS, Makaton, visual timetables) to support language development.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, with nurture-led techniques for emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care, toilet training, hygiene, and feeding routines per individual plans.
• Embed daily speech and language or occupational therapy activities into EYFS routines.
• Observe milestones and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
