Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a caring EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Amersham. You will support young children with SEN to access learning, develop confidence and independence, and promote wellbeing in a nurturing environment.

The role is full-time with October 2026 start. A current enhanced DBS and a strong safeguarding ethos are essential, with flexible, child-centred support across the early years setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting young children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding in early years settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering EYFS activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and additional needs.
• Assist with communication, language, literacy, numeracy, and physical development.
• Support social communication, emotional regulation and sensor iy needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Support personal care and daily routines where required.
