Job summary

Academics Ltd in Havering, London is seeking an experienced EYFS/Reception teacher or an ECT to cover a year-long maternity contract, starting October/November 2026. The role is paid to scale, with a long-term path to a permanent post from July/August 2027.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment.
• Qualified Teacher Status with UK experience in EYFS/ KS1.
• Experience delivering an engaging, play-based curriculum.
• Willing to learn and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging EYFS lessons in Reception to a 2-form entry school.
• Cover maternity leave for approximately 1 year with potential permanency from July/August 2027.
• Collaborate with TA support and SLT to maintain high standards.
• Ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment with strong behavior.
