Job summary

TipTopJob in Birmingham, West Midlands, is seeking an EYFS Practitioner to join a leading independent preparatory school. You will create a nurturing environment for children aged 4–11, deliver engaging activities and collaborate with the Early Years team.

Role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with a salary up to GBP 27,358.50 per year. Benefits include 22 days holiday, pension, free lunch, staff discounts and EAP.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification or equivalent.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Experience in EYFS or similar setting.
• Experience working with families and carers.
• Competent ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Deliver engaging activities and experiences that spark curiosity and development.
• Build strong relationships with children and their families, partners in learning journeys.
• Observe, celebrate and share children’s achievements, contributing to assessments and learning journeys.
• Prepare and maintain stimulating learning environments, displays and materials.
• Support smooth nursery operations including staffing ratios and daily routines.
