Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a nursery class in Haydock, St Helens. This full-time role runs from January 2027 to July 2027 initially, 8:30-3:30, with a Level 3 qualification and paediatric first aid preferred. DBS in place or to be arranged via Connex. Salary £95-£110 daily, PAYE weekly.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification is essential.
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent Level 2.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
• Experience in EYFS.
• Experience working with SEN pupils.
• Paediatric first aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursery class and support teaching staff.
• Support learning and behaviour management in line with school policies.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Collaborate with staff to enable inclusive practice.
