Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant for a primary school in the Ward of Yardley. The role is one day per week from September 2026 to July 2027, at £85–£101 per day. This position focuses on nursery support and helping children settle into learning.

You will work with the early years team to facilitate play-based learning, develop early literacy and numeracy activities, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom routine for young learners.

Qualifications

• A 2:2 or higher degree in a creative subject.
• Enhanced DBS required or willing to obtain.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support children in nursery through a mix of classroom assistance, play-based learning, and day‑to‑day routine support.
• Help children settle into the school day and encourage early communication and social development.
• Support simple literacy and number activities and work closely with the class teacher to keep pupils engaged, safe, and ready to learn.
