Job summary

Academics is seeking an EYFS Nursery Assistant in Cheltenham to support children aged 0-5 with learning and development in welcoming nursery settings. The role offers full-time or part-time arrangements and pay of £85-£100 per day, with placements ranging from ad-hoc supply to long-term opportunities available.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Early Years/Childcare, a caring and proactive approach, and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years / Childcare.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children aged 0-5 with their learning and development.
• Helping to create fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development.
• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes and personal care where required.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Working alongside experienced nursery and early years staff.
• Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
