Job summary

St Laurence's CE Primary School in Chorley seeks an energetic EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) with HLTA duties for one day a week. The role includes PPA cover, planning, teaching and marking in EYFS, with supervision duties as needed.

The post aligns with the school's Christian ethos and requires recent EYFS experience and safeguarding knowledge. The position is term-time only, 32.75 hours weekly pro rata, with 4 days of 8:30am–3:30pm and 1 day 8:15am–3:45pm.

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
• NVQ level 3 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 4 (Desirable)
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
• Experience of working with pupils in an EYFS primary school setting
• Experience of delivering phonics – e.g. Super Sonic Phonic Friends
• Cover supervision

Responsibilities

• The post is primarily in the role of an EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant and will also include PPA cover for 1 day in EYFS, planning, teaching and marking lessons for this sessions.
• When the need arises, cover supervision for the class teacher and other teachers may be required.
• You will need to play an active role in all aspects of school life and support the Christian ethos of our school.
