Job summary

Veritas Education is partnering with a welcoming nursery in Lancaster to recruit a Level 2 EYFS Practitioner to provide one-to-one support for a child with ASD from September 2026 to April 2027. Roles run Monday to Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm, in a long-term placement.

You will work closely with nursery staff, SEN professionals, and parents to create a safe, inclusive learning environment while promoting communication, social engagement and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and/or additional needs.
• Understands strategies to support children who may display behaviours that challenge.
• Patient, calm, and able to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Encouraging communication, engagement and social interaction.
• Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Working closely with nursery staff, SEN professionals, and parents/carers.
• Promoting a nurturing and inclusive environment.
