Job description

Looking for a rewarding long-term role after half term where you can make a genuine difference every day?

We're working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Bristol seeking a dedicated and nurturing teacher to support a Reception-aged child on a 1:1 basis.

This is a role where consistency and relationships really matter. You'll become a trusted adult in the child's school day, providing the reassurance, structure, and support they need to feel confident, settled, and ready to learn.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you'll tailor learning to the child's needs through engaging, play-based activities, helping develop early communication, phonics, and mathematical understanding in a way that builds confidence and celebrates progress.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a child's educational journey while joining a school that values patience, teamwork, and nurturing every child's potential.

Pay & Benefits

  • Daily rates of £92 to £95, paid weekly through PAYE

  • Enjoy the rewards of teaching without the added pressures of planning and extensive meetings

  • Flexible opportunities that fit around your lifestyle and career goals

  • Free access to high-quality training through our CPD Academy

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Bristol-based consultant who knows their schools inside out

What Makes This Role Special?

  • A welcoming and supportive Bristol primary school with a strong inclusive ethos

  • A consistent long-term placement from after half term, allowing you to build meaningful relationships

  • Well-established routines and strong classroom support

  • The opportunity to focus on one child's development while being part of a collaborative school community

  • A chance to make a lasting impact during a crucial stage of a child's early education

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Has recent experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1

  • Has experience supporting children with additional needs or SEND, or is keen to develop these skills

  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff, and families

  • Feels confident delivering and adapting learning to suit individual needs

  • Brings patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to the classroom every day

What We Need to Clear You

  • Passport/proof of right to work in the UK

  • 2 proofs of address

  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any explained gaps

  • Two years of references, including childcare or SEND experience where applicable

  • Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years

If you're looking for a role where you can build a meaningful connection, support a child to thrive, and be part of a genuinely caring school community, we'd love to hear from you.
