Job summary

The Learning Experience in East Finchley is seeking a Nursery Curriculum Room Leader to design and lead the room’s EYFS curriculum, ensuring progression and a safe, engaging environment for children. A strong focus on safeguarding, communication with families, and staff leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Full & relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification – essential.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator).
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of the room’s curriculum in line with EYFS principles and the setting’s curriculum intent.
• Ensure a clear progression of learning, building knowledge and confidence in the curriculum with the team.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards.
• Monitor, record, and celebrate milestones in children’s development.
• Communicate effectively with families to build strong relationships.
• Lead and support colleagues to maintain high-quality care and learning.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
