Job summary

The Learning Experience UK in East Finchley is hiring an experienced Curriculum Room Leader for their nursery. The role involves leading curriculum design in line with EYFS, ensuring progression and a safe, nurturing environment for children.

The position offers a salary up to £34,778 per year, a welcome bonus, and a range of staff benefits through a supportive employer. 37.5 hours per week with full-time, permanent terms.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator)
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education
• A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of the room’s curriculum in line with EYFS principles and the setting’s curriculum intent
• Ensure a clear progression of learning, building knowledge and confidence in the curriculum with the team.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line withEYFS standards
• Monitor, record, and celebrate milestones in children’s development
• Communicate effectively with families to build strong relationships
• Lead and support colleagues to maintain high-quality care and learning
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies
